Amber Thurman travelled to North Carolina from Georgia to obtain legal abortion pills and end the lives of her 9-week-old twins. After taking the deadly drugs, she returned to Georgia and began to experience severe complications. Then she developed sepsis.Instead of immediately performing a D&C, doctors waited until it was too late and she was in organ failure. She succumbed to the complications.Medical experts found that performing a D&C and removing the already deceased remains of her twins could have saved her life. Pro-abortion activists have used her death to criticize Georgia's abortion ban - claiming doctors didn't perform the D&C because of pro-life laws.
